TTNG to hold 2016 conference on board Celebrity Eclipse

The Travel Network Group has announced its 2016 conference will be held on board Celebrity Cruises’ ship Celebrity Eclipse.

The two-day event will be held between May 8 and 10 next year, sailing from Southampton to Le Havre and back.

The decision was made after the group’s conference team attended Celebrity’s recent two-night taster cruise.

Gary Lewis, group managing director of The Travel Network Group, said: “We have been so impressed with what Celebrity Cruises can offer in terms of hosting our next conference, from its amazing theatre and dining options to its luxurious accommodation.

“We are all very excited to explore a new concept for our next conference on a ship that won the 2015 Cruise Critic award as ‘Best from the UK.’

“We made a commitment to our members some years ago that we will always try and find destinations for our conferences that are less mass-market and ones that they may not have visited before.

“Lake Bled and Split last year were popular destinations in this respect, and we believe that taking the conference in a new direction with Celebrity Cruises for next year will present us with another perfect backdrop against which to host another successful conference.”

Jo Rzymowska, managing director UK & Ireland for Celebrity Cruises said: “It is a privilege to work with Gary and the team at The Travel Network Group to welcome their annual conference on board Celebrity Eclipse in 2016.

“Hosting their members is an incredible opportunity for our business in terms of showing off the facilities and experiences on offer from our brand.

“The Travel Network Group’s conference is a must-attend event in the travel industry calendar and the promise of inspiring and thought-provoking content makes for a great partnership.”

The conference will seek to attract Members and Business Partners with a total delegation for the event in the region of 400.
