REGIONALcarrier Suckling Airways has increased capacity on Norwich routes to Edinburgh and Manchester.
The privately owned airline has replaced 19-seat Dornier 228s with a larger type of the aircraft. The Dornier 328 turboprop seats 31 passengers.
Suckling is continuing with the double daily routes to Edinburgh and Manchester, but flight times will be faster due to the switch of aircraft.
The upgrade to the larger aircraft also means the carrier is able to offer a business-class cabin out of Norwich for the first time.
Norwich International’s commercial director Trevor Eady said the extra capacity will give the airport – recently rebranded to reflect its business connections – an opportunity to offer an improved service to frequent flyers.
