I recently had themisfortune of trying to use Rail Europe for a motorail reservation from Narbonne to Calais.
Over three weeks I sent over a dozen faxes and telephoned at least the same number of times. I got the same result every time, held in a stacking system with no response, and no reply to the faxes. The reason for my attempt to contact them was simple, just to ask them for the tickets early to coincide with my clients departure from the UKby Eurotunnel.
Nobody can match Rail Europe for total apathy. Be warned, if you wish to pour money down the drain and make a huge loss, go for motorail with Rail Europe.
In the end my client threatened legal action. The tickets eventually arrived by special delivery direct to his house, one day before travel. The name and address of Rail Europe in our gazetteer now has a line crossed through it.
