Thomson Sensatori Rhodes withdrawn after delays

Thomson has withdrawn a new Sensatori resort in Rhodes from its summer 2016 programme blaming “unexpected delays” on plans to develop the property.

The Tui Group operator announced that it would be offering the 330-room hotel, featuring the most swim-up rooms of any of its Sensatori resorts, in April.

But the company has been forced to drop plans to send holidaymakers to the property next summer.

Thomson said: “The holiday company regrets to confirm that Sensatori Rhodes will no longer be included in its holiday line up for next year.

“Unfortunately there have been unexpected delays in securing planning permission for Sensatori Rhodes, impacting the hotel’s completion date.

“Thomson has therefore taken the difficult decision to amend its Sensatori programme for summer 2016.

“We understand that this news will be very disappointing for customers booked to travel to this hotel and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

“We will be contacting affected customers directly to arrange a full refund or transfer to an alternative holiday.”
