Second manager quits Unijet to take up Airtours position

A SECOND senior manager at Unijet has left the company to join former colleague Ed Sims at Airtours.

The operator has already poached Unijet’s general sales manager Steve Barrass to Helmshore to become sales director (Travel Weekly, April 19) and has now appointed Unijet’s creative services manager Chris Young to the role of marketing services manager.

Both Barrass and Young worked with Sims when he was marketing director at Haywards Heath-based Unijet. Sims joined Airtours as sales and marketing director in January.

Young will be responsible for the production and design of all Airtours’ brochures and promotional material.

He will also look at future ways of marketing brochures.

“We are entering a period during which the Internet, digital TV as well as other electronic means of sales promotion are becoming more important,” he said.
