X-TANT has won the networking contract for West Midlands Co-operative Society from Imminus.
West Midlands chief executive Ben Reid said the technology will help increase customer service and profitability.
“The Internet and digital technology are playing an important role in people’s lives and we want to be ahead of the game,” he said.
The 20-branch multiple will use the Internet Protocol network that gives access to late-availability deals and a World Travel Guide CD-ROM. West Midlands is also introducing interactive video seats that give clients views of over 160 destinations. The network allows access to a range of industry-wide applications through a single network link.
