MAG reveals summer airport retail marketing push

A summer promotional push is being launched to highlight offers at shops, restaurants and bars at Manchester Airport Group’s four airports.

The multi-channel campaign aims to highlight the breadth of the retail offering at Manchester, Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth airports, to families, couples and business travellers.

Breaking this week, the “your time” campaign encourages passengers to take advantage of exclusive offers, deals and time-saving shopping at the airports.

Digital advertising screens will be used to highlight the promotion while promotional staff will issue voucher books to passengers offering free children’s meals and money off deals in duty free.

MAG head of marketing, Chris Barker, said: “Across our four airports, this is set to be our busiest summer ever and is therefore the ideal time to launch our biggest retail campaign of the year.

“Many passengers are unaware of the full scale of the offering across our sites and the money that can be saved through our retail concessions – be it on sunglasses or refreshments.

“The interactive and informative nature of the campaign will hopefully drive awareness of this with passengers and ensure their holiday gets off to the best possible start. ”

The campaign will culminate in September with the opening of a new World Duty Free store in Terminal Two at Manchester airport.
