Beaches unveils learning tie-up with Sesame Street

Sandals’ Beaches Resorts is celebrating 10 years of partnering with Sesame Street by introducing educational activities for families.

New Caribbean Adventures with Sesame Street include Explore Outer Space with Elmo and Friends, which opens next month. Young guests will be invited to use their imagination to explore outer space inside an immersive dome and planetarium.

The portable theatres offer visual learning experiences and age-appropriate activities. In ‘One World, One Sky’, Big Bird and his friends Elmo and Hu Hu Zhu from China explore the stars over Sesame Street, visit the moon and discover that children everywhere share the same sky.

Beaches Resorts will complement the educational initiative by creating Sesame Street-approved activities.

From October, artists at the resorts will teach children how to explore their creative side and bring the Sesame Street characters to life, drawing with chalk on sidewalks at each resort. The artists will also take to the beach to sculpt Sesame Street characters from sand.

Puppet-making will be available in the resorts for children of all ages, allowing them to make characters such as Bert and Ernie and put on their own puppet show.

This Halloween, guests at Beaches Resorts can join Sesame Street characters on stage for a singalong performance.

Seven nights at Beaches Ocho Rios in Jamaica starts at £5,088 for two adults and two children between September 4 and November 30. The price includes British Airways flights from Gatwick and transfers.
