Flights between Glasgow and the Romanian capital of Bucharest are to be introduced by Wizz Air.
The budget carrier is to operate the route on Tuesdays and Saturdays from May 21 next year.
The move will bring the total number of destinations served by Wizz Air from Glasgow to eight.
The airline already flies to the Polish cities of Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice and Gdansk, as well as Budapest in Hungary.
The airline is due to begin two new services to Vilnius in Lithuania and Lublin in Poland next week.
Glasgow airport business development manager, Paul White, said: “This is yet further good news from Wizz Air which has gone from strength-to-strength since its arrival at Glasgow airport two years ago.”
Wizz Air is also raising frequency of flights from Luton to Bucharest and the Romania city of Timisoara as well as Doncaster Sheffield to Bucharest as part of an expanded summer 2016 schedule from Romania.
