Thomas Cook head of long-haul product Matt Appleby (pictured) is joining the dnata Travel UK management team.

He has been appointed to the newly-created role of product and commercial director for Travel 2 and Gold Medal and is due to join in November.

Freeth said: “With a new leadership team in place designed to maximise the phenomenal talent of the Gold Medal and Travel 2 families, Matt joins the team at a very exciting time.

“I look forward to working alongside him and am confident that with his exceptional experience working with high profile brands that he’ll be key to us in delivering dnata’s ambitious growth plans. We are all excited about him joining the team.”
