Royal Brunei Airlines has appointed a new UK country manager.
Christina Vidos has worked in the industry for more than 30 years and will focus on boosting RB’s offering for SMEs.
Based in London, Vidos will report to head of sales Christina Chua, based in Brunei.
She joins from Garuda Indonesia, where she was sales and marketing manager for the UK and Ireland, responsible for forging stronger relationships with the travel trade and managing the UK office’s external agencies.
“As we progress with our rebrand, helping to steer RB on its newly established course is a very exciting prospect,” said Vidos.
“Our relationship with UK trade is very important and we work closely with our agents. We recognise this as key distribution channel and will continue to host fam trips to help offer experience of our new Dreamliner and the destinations we fly to.
“RB will also be participating at agent roadshows in major UK cities together with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism later on this year.”
RB operates daily flights from London Heathrow to destinations including Melbourne, Ras Al Khaimah, Dubai, Bali and Manila.
Vidos continued: “We have seen a real demand for an SME-tailored product on our Heathrow-Dubai flights.
“Our daily overnight flights to Dubai and our affordable prices make RB a favourite choice for SMEs looking to travel on a budget, whilst still getting the most out of their short trip by not losing any working hours during the day.
“We plan on launching a tailored product in the next few months to specifically to this market.”
