Wendy Wu Tours’ Exclusive Collection, which was first unveiled in January 2015, has had some enhancements for 2016/2017 and a brochure has been launched.
The collection focuses on 5 start accommodation, smaller group sizes, luxury extras and immersive experiences such as walking through the green tea fields of Mengdingshan and speedboating down the Mekong River.
New for 2016 include visiting the Terracotta Warriors with a member of the excavation team and one of the farmers who discovered them in 1974, and visiting Mutianyu, a far less visited section of the Great Wall.
In Cambodia and Vietnam, new offerings include the chance to explore Cambodia’s temple of Angkor Wat by tuk tuk rather than on foot. The serene Mekong Delta can be seen by speedboat rather than by cruise, which is how the Mekong is usually visited. Travel on Vietnam’s Victoria Express train is also being re-introduced into the Wendy Wu Exclusive itineraries, offering a luxury way to travel through north Vietnam. Also available for food enthusiasts is a food cycle tour through Hanoi’s old quarter.
The brochure includes 11 tours including the 10 day Best of China and Classical Vietnam which is a 17 day trip from Saigon to Hanoi. These both cost £3,490 per person and include UK chauffeur transfers within 50 miles of airport, domestic transportation, 5 star accommodation, most meals, touring with guides, entrance fees and visa fees for UK & EU passport holders.
