A group of travel businesses, including online travel portal Crystal Travel and flights specialist Travel Center UK, are being brought together under the Moresand Holidays brand.
Parent company Moresand has been established for more than 32 years and expects to achieve turnover of £120 million this year and a profit of almost £2 million.
Moresand was listed in the London Stock Exchange Group of 1,000 Companies to inspire Britain in 2013 and was ranked in Investec’s Mid-Market 100 list of fastest growing companies last year.
Samuel Eliatamby has been recruited as tour operations director following roles at British Airways Holidays, Inspirations, Travelpack and Southall Travel.
He said: “Joining such a long established successful company is really an exciting challenge, especially with plans to fill gaps in the market and we will be available to book through the travel trade, which we believe is an important distribution channel.”
Managing director, P S Kang, said: “With Sam’s vast experience in the industry I have no doubt he will expand our current 20,000 passenger tour operation, to become a further recognised name in the industry.
“Our dedication to this is shown by securing further office premises at the iconic Croydon Airport, the world’s first purpose built airport terminal and London’s first airport.”
