Co-op Consortium Conference theme to be ‘making a difference’

“Making a difference” to the customer experience will be the theme of this year’s Co-op Consortium Conference on December 2.

Organisers hope members will take away some practical advice on how to improve their business and personalise customer service in an age of advanced technology and social media.

Panel debate members include: managing director of Cruise Village, Phil Nuttall; managing director of Travel Circle, Mark Delaney; and managing director of Elite Travel Boutique, Kathryn Thompson.

This will be the Consortium’s third annual conference, with a record number of 90 members confirmed to attend, including 50 member delegates and 28 suppliers.

The conference will end with a keynote speech by Geoff Ramm, author of Observational Marketing Greats (OMG), who will share his real life stories.

Head of the Co-op Consortium, Alison Holmes, said: “We want members to leave taking something that they can take action on. All of our panel members have managed to have a positive year despite the problems in Greece and Tunisia so they will be sharing their insight on what they have been doing.”

The event takes place at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel in Manchester.

The Consortium is part of the Midcounties Co-operative which is headed up by general manager Alistair Rowland.
