London demand fuels Cyprus Airways’ extra Stansted flight

CYPRUS AIRWAYS has added a third weekly flight between Stansted and Larnaca, two years after first launching services from the Essex airport.

The additional flight means Cyprus Airways now flies to Larnaca on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Regional manager UK and Ireland Andreas Demetriou said the improved scheduled follows a policy of gradually increasing services each year.

A spokesman for the airport said demand for new flights to Cyprus is coming from the large Cypriot community in north London, which is convenient for Stansted, and from local people travelling to the island for holidays.
