Day and McCall make Inspiration Awards For Women shortlist

Two of travel’s female chief executives have been shortlisted in the Inspiration Awards For Women.

Angela Day, chief executive of Affordable Car Hire, and Carolyn McCall, chief executive of easyJet, have both been listed in the ‘Most Aspirational’ category.

Voting for the annual awards starts today.

Sky Andrew, founder of the Inspiration Awards, said: “Travel is a sector where countless women shine in their roles. Both Carolyn and Angela have achieved great things in their careers.”

Speaking about her nomination, Angela Day said: “I’m passionate about the business, and it would be wonderful to see it become a global market leader, well respected for quality service and product, while retaining the personal touch.

“I feel very humbled to have been nominated, and am surprised to see my name among those of so many fantastic and accomplished women.”
