Non-stop flights between Singapore and Manchester and onward to Houston will be introducing by Singapore Airlines this winter.
The Singapore-Manchester flights are scheduled to run five times a week and then continue on to Houston, which is currently served from Singapore via Moscow.
The launch of the Singapore-Manchester-Houston service from October 30 will see existing Moscow-Houston and Munich-Manchester services being suspended.
Both Munich and Moscow will continue to be served on a non-stop basis to and from Singapore.
Flight SQ52 will depart Singapore at 02.35am and arrive in Manchester at 9am local time. Flight SQ52 will then leave Manchester at 10.15am, arriving in Houston at 3.35pm.
The return flight SQ51 will depart Houston at 9.15pm and arrive in Manchester at 10.05am local time. Flight SQ51 will then depart Manchester at 11.35am, and arrive in Singapore at 8.20am local time.
SIA also plans to operate daily non-stop flights between Singapore and San Francisco from October 23 using new Airbus A350-900 extended range aircraft.
