AVIS Europe has appointed Luke Medley as managing director of Avis UK following the resignation of Georges Sampeur who is leaving to join Carlson Wagonlit Travel Group in Paris (Travel Weekly May 10).
Sampeur leaves Avis after 20 years service during which time he has worked his way up through the company from quality control manager.
Medley, who joined Avis Australia as national franchise manager in 1983, is currently managing director of AvisAustralia .
