Middle East and Australian hotels owner and developer Action Hotels today reported a “positive” first half operating performance.
The company’s branded three and four-star hotels contributed strong average occupancies.
In a trading update issued this morning, Action Hotels said it will have 3,186 rooms upon completion of pipeline hotel developments.
The chain expects interim results to be in line with market expectations when the figures are released on September 12.
The top performers among the Middle East-based hotels were the Ibis Sharq and Ibis Salmiya in Kuwait, which delivered occupancy rates of 92% and 83% respectively.
The recently acquired Ibis Budget Melbourne airport hotel delivered occupancy rates above 91%.
Action’s newest and largest hotel, the Ibis Styles Brisbane, has shown “encouraging early trading figures” with occupancy of more than 51% in its third month since opening.
