A flight from New York to Seattle made an emergency landing in Minneapolis after a passenger tried to open a door in mid-flight.
The Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 was flying from New York’s JFK airport. Police escorted the disruptive passenger off the aircraft in Minneapolis.
The aircraft then continued on its journey with 180 passengers on board.
A spokeswoman for the airline said: “We did receive reports that this passenger attempted to access a door at the rear of the aircraft.
“The passenger was unsuccessful as it is physically impossible to open an aircraft door while the aircraft is pressurised and in flight.”
