EasyHotel has won the green light to build a new hotel in Barcelona.
The super budget hotel group, which last week secured £38 million in development funding, revealed today that planning permission had been granted for the new property.
The company plans to build a 204-room hotel on Gran Via, the main avenue of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat in the Spanish city.
“EasyHotel’s acquisition of the land for the new build easyHotel is expected to complete in the coming weeks and the hotel is expected to open in early 2018,” the group said.
The company also plans new owned hotels in Birmingham, Ipswich, Liverpool and Manchester together with franchise properties across Europe and Dubai.
EasyHotel’s three owned hotels in the UK currently comprise 390 rooms, and it has a further 17 franchised hotels with 1,405 rooms.
