Passengers using Flybe are being offered the ability to part pay for flights using Avios points.
Holders of the travel rewards can offset the cost of a flight with as few as 1,500 Avios (equating to £7.50 off) and up to 4,500 Avios (equating to £22.50) off the price of a one-way flight.
They will still collect Avios points based on the value of the flight before the discount.
The move is likely to encourage more people to book direct with the regional airline via its website.
Avios commercial director Chris Treadwell said: “Part paying Flybe flights using Avios is a great way for customers to get a discount on flights from regional airports around the UK travelling to a large number of destinations.
“This offers our customers another good reason to collect Avios on their everyday spending.”
Flybe chief sales and marketing officer Amy Valcik said: “We are thrilled to be expanding our loyalty partnership with Avios in giving our passengers not only better value but also greater flexibility in how they can pay when travelling with Flybe.
“With the ability to not only earn Avios with every flight but also now to purchase flights at flybe.com and partially pay with Avios, customers can save a bit of extra cash to spend on board or at their destination.”
