A group of travel industry chiefs are today named among the world’s top 100 LGBT executives.
They feature in the 2016 leading 100 LGBT leader list organised by LGBT professional network OUTstanding and published in the Financial Times.
The travel sector leaders appearing on the leading executives list include Qantas CEO Alan Joyce, Airbnb chief marketing officer Jonathan Mildenhall and Hertz merchandising and ancillary revenue vice president Brian Casebolt.
Those based in the UK are Virgin Holidays managing director Mark Anderson and Celebrity Cruises UK & Ireland managing director Jo Rzymowska.
The executives’ category recognises 100 senior role models who are helping make the workplace a more welcoming place.
Anderson is recognised for developing a three-year plan that will see an updated diversity and inclusion policy adopted by Virgin Holidays.
Under Rzymowska’s leadership, Celebrity Cruises recently recruited its first executive role to drive collective diversity and inclusion plans globally. Each of the line’s executive committee members are now involved in promoting their diversity and inclusion ethos.
Workshops linked to diversity and inclusion have been introduced to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to put forward suggestions and ideas.
