Ian Chambers has been promoted to the role of chief commercial officer at Monarch.
He replaces Adrian Tighe who left the business recently.
Chambers moves up from the role of head of digital and marketing and has been with the independent airline group for 11 years.
He previously held digital and marketing positions at Epson, easyJet and the former low-cost carrier, Go, where he started his career.
Chambers delivered Monarch’s recent brand awareness campaign across all media which focussed on the brand’s excellent customer service.
He said: “I’m really excited about this new challenge, Monarch is transforming commercially as we head towards the delivery of our new Boeing 737-800 Max fleet and I’m looking forward to working closely with such a strong team to realise the full potential of the Monarch brand and service.”
Monarch Group chief executive Andrew Swaffield said: “Ian brings a wealth of experience to this role and has demonstrated very strong leadership over recent years.
“These will be invaluable during the next few years as we enter another exciting phase in our history with the delivery of our new aircraft, starting in 2018.”
