BACKCHAT is gratified to learn of a surge in Swedish tourists visiting London since the opening of Mamma Mia, the new hit musical based on old Abba songs.
Loyal fans of the ’70s Swedish super group are deluging the British Travel Centre in Stockholm with requests for tickets.
The British Tourist Authority’s manager in Sweden, Garry White, said bookings were already being taken for shows this autumn.
“The BTA is definitely thanking Abba for the music,” he added. And for the Money Money Money, no doubt.
