JILL Dando’s memory is to be kept alive through the annual presentation of a special award at the Travel Weekly Globe Awards.
The televisionstar, who co-presented the prestigious Travel Weekly Globe Awards for the last three years, will be remembered for her commitment to the travel business through The Jill Dando Award For Outstanding Contribution To The Travel Industry.
Travel Weekly managing director Trevor Harding said: “Jill was very much a part of the Globe Awards ceremony for the past three years. We plan to launch an award in recognition of her.
“She will be difficult to replace because of her empathy with the industry.”
