n ABTA reschedules northwest meetings



Two ABTA northwestern meetings due to take place on April 29 and 17 June have been jointlyrescheduled for June 3. The venue will be The Atlantic Suite, Terminal Two,Manchester Airport.



n chairman bids to save philippine airlines



Philippine Airlineschairman and chiefexecutive Lucio Tan is investing $200m into the carrier to keep it flying. The money is part of a rehabilitation package put together by the carrier to satisfy creditors who are owed $2bn. Tan’sinvestment is expected to be put towards newaircraft.



n Southampton port sees cruise figures rise



The portof Southampton has reported a 20% rise in cruise passengers passing through its terminals to more than 250,000 last year. Ships made a total of 114 stops to the port last year, an increase of 23 calls on the previous year.
