BRITISHAirways will find out on Wednesday if its ú75m bid to buy Cityflyer was successful.
The Competition Commission is due to publish its report on the deal this week.
Virgin Atlantic has matched BA’s bid for Cityflyer. The airline is threatening protests if its offer is refused as BA will control almost half of Gatwick slots.
The CC called in BA’s proposal in January to investigate the slot issue. BA and Virgin had no bid result indications as Travel Weekly went to press.
