ADVANTAGE Travel Centres has signed up 42 agents for its new consortium for business agents, called Focus 2000.
The group, which has been set up to give business agents increased buying power from suppliers, was officially launched last week.
The 42 members operate 50 UK business travel outlets and have a combined corporate travel turnover of over £200m a year.
Advantage business development manager Norman Gage said:”The group is made of members who are committed to working together as a major group of independents.
“Members will benefit from more favourable commission rates and being able to offer their customers competitive fares.
“Those airlines with whom we are able to negotiate preferred supplier status will benefit from the increasing number of business flights being booked by these members.”
