Cash-strapped Intra Travel ceases trading


EASTERNEurope specialist Intra Travel of north London has ceased trading.



The company, which was based at Kings Exchange in Tileyard Road, Holloway operated to northern Cyprus, Turkey and former communist countries.



The Civil Aviation Authority called in Intra Travel’s ú110,176 bond last week after the company failed to meet financial commitments on Wednesday.



The CAA said a small number of people, between 10-20, were stranded overseas.



The authority is currently contacting customers with outstanding bookings.



n Whitefield Travel of Whitefield, Manchester, has ceased trading.



The Elms Square firm was also unable to meet financial commitments.
