LAUDA AIR TO START DAILY BANGKOK SERVICE


Lauda Air is set to introduce a daily service to Bangkok in its winter ’99 timetable. It currently operates five weekly flights from Vienna with connections from Gatwick, Heathrow and Manchester. The two new services en route to Phuket fly on Mondays and Fridays on Boeing 777s. The first Sunday service to Bangkok, en route to Bali, is due to start on May 9.


KLM LAUNCHES NEW SHANGHAI SERVICE


KLM has launched a new service between Amsterdam and Shanghai leaving Schiphol on Mondays and Thursdays, returning on Tuesdays and Fridays. The flights will be on 303-seat Boeing747-300 aircraft.


ASEAN EXPLORER EYES NEW GOLFING ADDITIONS


ASEAN Explorer’s new Amazing Thailand Golf brochure introduces the Siam Country Club in Pattaya and four courses in Bangkok, in addition to Chiang Mai and Hua Hin. Prices are from ú673 for one week in Pattaya including three 18-hole rounds.
