BA CONSIDERS BUSINESS-CLASS-ONLY FLIGHTS


British Airways is looking at introducing more business class-only flights to meet demand on certain routes. The airline already offers one-class shuttle services and its Concorde flights are also restricted to business class. A spokeswoman said there were no immediate plans to introduce the business-class flights but it was something that was under consideration for the future.


BRITANNIC WINS MEDIA COMPANY’S ACCOUNT


Britannic Travel has won the contract to manage the business travel account of the media and entertainment company Turner Broadcasting System Europe. Britannic will service the account through an implant based at its offices in Rathbone Place, London. The account is made up of 70% air, 20% hotel and 10%other travel but an annual travel spend was not disclosed.


VISA INTERNATIONAL SEES SPENDING RISE BY 226%


Visa International enjoyed a 226% increase in spending on its corporate cards during 1998, according to latest figures. Spending on Visa Corporate by cardholders in Europe reached $1bn during the period.
