COPTHORNE HOTELS SWITCH TO NEW GDS CODE


Hotels in the four-star Copthorne chain will all use the global distribution systems chain code MU from April 16. The hotels have been switching over in turn from the code BC since 1996. The move will bring the Copthorne and Millennium hotel brands – both owned by Millennium Hotels and Resorts – together under the same code.


AIR FRANCE TEMPTS AGENTS WITH CASH OFFER


Air France is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its rewards programme by offering agents the chance to win thousands of pounds. For every ticket sold up to May 31 earning passengers 10,000 miles, member agents in the airline’s Club Cinq Etoiles scheme will be entered into a draw. Prizes in the High 5 competition range from ú500-ú5000.

THOMAS COOK TAKES UP FLYING COLOURS PLAN


Thomas Cook UK airline operations is adopting the Flying Colours business plan as it integrates Flying Colours Airlines and Caledonian Airways. The decision was made following Flying Colours’ record as best-performing UK charter carrier last year.
