RANK Holidays is to make about 10 staff redundant following a restructure of its four holiday brands, Travel Weekly can exclusively reveal.
The company is to combine the administrations of its flagship brand Butlin’s with Haven, Oasis and Warner, which will mean some positions are duplicated. Rank Holidays division managing director Jerry Fowden said the number of jobs to go would be “less than 12”.
He said: “A small number of changes are being made to provide shared service functions which will support all the brands. The majority of these involve existing brand or divisional staff transferring to other departments. We regret that a small number of redundancies may result, although we would hope to be able to offer people alternative employment .”
Rank Holidays reported a fall in profits from ú71m in 1997 to ú56m in the year to December 31 1998.
