WORLDSPAN has held talks with First Choice as it looks to become the global distribution supplier for the operator’s new retail arm.
Senior international marketing director Tim Wright said a decision was expected from First Choice in the next two months.
“With the exception of Lunn Poly, we work with all the other multiples,” he said. “We have bid for the First Choice business and are now awaiting its decision.”
Wright, speaking at ITB in Berlin, also unveiled Worldspan’s new Internet product.
Worldspan Net allows travel agents to connect to the Worldspan system via the Internet.
The product was originally designed for more remote countries. But more traditional markets are now displaying aninterest in it.
