I must support AMCromarty from Travel Needs with his complaint about commission payments from UKhotels (Travel WeeklyFebruary 24).
It is easier to get payment from the smallest hotel in the farthest corner of the world than to get a cheque from a British hotel. Why is there such a problem?Why do you have to speak to the reservations manager, the front-deskmanager, the accounts manager, send acommission claim, and then send a VAT invoice? And still no cheque arrives.
Could we get some feedback from the hotels, what are we doing wrong. A tip for MrCromarty – if you write to Forte Agents’Commission in Aylesbury rather than the actual property, you should get paid.
