n VLM applies for licence to serve jersey



Belgian carrier VLM has applied to operate London City flights to Jersey. If agreed by the Jersey Transport Authority, theairline will start flights next month. It already serves Antwerp and Rotterdam from London City in co-operation with Sabena and KLMUK respectively.



n iberia to invest ú30m in long-haul fleet interiors



Iberia is investing ú30m in revamping the interior of its24-strong long-haul aircraft fleet. New additions will bepersonal video screens, computer connections andtelephones. Iberia is also installing additional seats in the long-haul aircraft.



n jetabout pushes discount packages to malaysia



Qantas’ in-house tour operator Jetabout is offering special packages to Malaysia. Prices lead in at ú495 per person for two sharing a two-night stay in Kuala Lumpur and the use of a hire car for eight days. Jetabout is also offering seven nights for a city/beach package at ú499, again including stays in the Malaysian capital.



n malaysia airlines signs up to wings alliance



KLM and partner Northwest Airlines have brought Malaysia Airlines into their Wings global alliance. The three carriers start codesharing this summer and will integrate airport facilities, schedules, reservations and sales promotions.
