n Irish Ferries promotes short breaks to ireland
Irish ferries has introduced special offers for two holidays on the Pembroke to Rosslare and Holyhead to Dublin crossings.
The former leads in at ú72, offering passengers three nights’ bed and breakfast in County Cork and return ferry crossing, based on four adults travelling together in their own car.
The latter, priced from ú119 per person, again based on four adults travelling together in their own car, offers visitors a return crossing, two nights’ accommodation in either Wexford, Waterford, Kilkenny, Carlow or South Tipperary, and then a stay in Cork or SouthKerry or both for a further four nights.
n Eurotunnel combines insurance with AA cover
Eurotunnel customers can now book AA Five Star Europe Breakdown assistance and personal travel insurance direct through the company’s Folkestone-based call centre, rather than via AA offices. The company has teamed up with the AA to offer the insurance and breakdown service after research revealed that customers wanted the convenience of being able to book a travel and breakdown cover package with only one phone call.
n Change of branding for Cherbourg vessel
Brittany Ferries’ craft Barfleur, now back in Poole, has lost its grey, yellow and white Truckline livery as part of the company’s bid to make it fit in with other craft in the fleet. The 20,500t ferry has been rebranded in parent company Brittany Ferries’ colours of red, white and blue. The Truckline name will only be used on freight-only vessels. From March 8, Barfleur will operate exclusively on the Cherbourg route.
