GALLOWAY TAKES LIBRA TO TRIBUNAL


Libra Group, the Greece specialist operator which owns the Priceright and Libra Holidays brands, is to appear at an industrial tribunal to face a charge of unfair dismissal made by former employee Liz Galloway. The hearing, on March 17 and 18, will take place in Stratford, east London.


HAMILTON EXTENDS EUROSTAR PAY DEAL


Flight consolidator Hamilton Travel has extended its double commission offer on Eurostar bookings from the end of February to the end of March. During the promotion, agents will earn 10% on bookings instead of the usual 5%.The agent’s Eurostar fares lead in at £89 for return travel to Paris midweek and £79 for return travel to Brussels and Lille midweek.


JEA SECURES SLOTS FOR GUERNSEY SERVICES


Jersey European Airways has secured slots at Paris Charles de Gaulle and Stansted to launch services this summer from Guernsey. JEA made the applications after KLM UK decided to drop its Stansted and Amsterdam services from the island last month (Travel Weekly February 24).


SPEAKERS SET FOR INSURANCE SEMINAR


Suretravel director James Beagrie and Association of Travel Insurance Intermediaries chairman Stephen Howard headline next month’s staging of a new travel insurance conference. The Travel Insurance Seminar is being held on April 20 at the RAC Club, central London.
