Seafarer targets upmarket sales with launch of Egypt programme


SEAFARER Cruising and Sailing Holidays has launched its first dedicated Egypt brochure, featuring Nile river itineraries and cruise-and-stay packages aimed at the luxury end of the market.



Managing director Chris Lorenzo said the operator has seen an increase in demand for cruises to the destination over the past 12 months.



Packages include a 10-night Grand Tour itinerary which features a stay in Cairo, with sightseeing programmes to the Pyramids, a Nile Cruise on board a luxury five-star cruiser between Luxor and Aswan and a cruise on Lake Nasser, taking in a sightseeing visit to the Abu Simbel temple.



Prices start at £899 per person including return flights.



A nine-night cruise-and-stay itinerary stops at ports of calls including Luxor, Edfu, Esna, Kom Ombo, Aswan with a two-night stay in Cairo.



Highlights include the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple, both in Luxor. Prices start at £799 per person including flights.



A shorter six-night Nile cruise and stay in Cairo and a seven-night Nile cruise are also included in the brochure.



Passengers taking a Nile cruise will be accommodated in luxury boats which have a capacity for 140 people.



All cabins are air conditioned with windows and en-suite bathrooms. On board facilities include a bar, restaurant, sun deck and outdoor pool.
