Haven sales director joins electrical chain

HAVENmarketing and sales director Martin Dalgleish is leaving the group at the end of March to join high street electrical chain Dixons.

Until a replacement is found, his responsibilities have been taken over by marketing, sales and customer services director, Peter Allport.

“We are advertising at the moment but there are some strong internal candidates,” said Allport.

Dalgleish’s departure comes just after he completed a reorganisation of Haven’s sales and marketing department.

Marketing teams for UKand Europe have been combined but instead the department has been split between long-term brand development and day-to-day marketing.

Haven Europe marketing manager Nick Bamford has become brand manager, responsible for long-term strategic development, while Haven UK marketing manager Sue Arnold has taken over responsibility for short-term marketing.

There have also been some changes at sister brands Oasis Villages and Warner Holidays.

Julie Gould, previously PRdirector for Oasis Villages and Warner Holidays, has been appointed marketing director for Oasis. Oasis marketing manager Marc Jones has been promoted to marketing director for Warner.

The reshuffle comes after Nick Burrows, who was marketing director for both brands, was promoted to director of sales for Rank Holidays.
