COSMOS has strengthened its management team with a number of new appointments.
Andrew Field, formerly of Virgin Holidays, has replaced Mike Austin, who is retiring as finance director.
Field joins the operator at the same time as new managing director Nigel Wright and marketing and sales directorPaul Riches, who start work on February 1(Travel WeeklyJanuary 6).
The operator has also appointed its first human resources director, Gerry McKune, who joins from British Airways Holidays in April. A new systems director, Geoff Roberts, joins the operator in March from Woolworth’s as part of plans to upgrade its viewdata technology.
Cosmos already has managers responsible for human resources and systems. A new overseas director is being sought to replace Andy Sawicki ,who retires this year. Former managing director Roger Corkhill has become chairman.
