ADVANTAGE Travel Centres has sent an 11th hour plea to members to sign up for the franchise plan before Friday’s deadline.
In a letter to agents, managing director Ron Muir stressed the driving force behind the proposal was to purely maximise the profitability of members.
Outlining the list of demands on members – which includes a racking policy and a commitment to push Airtours – Muir said they are “hardly onerous”.
“This is a very soft franchise,” he said.
Advantage refused to reveal how many agents have signed for the franchise but it expects many to make a last minute decision.
Muir has said he will throw open the franchise offer to non-Advantage agents if it fails to hit the aggregate turnover of ú135m by Friday.
“We don’t give up easily,” he said.
