New Thomas Cook director to streamline marketing efforts


Thomas Cook is centralising marketing of its Sunworld and Sunset brands after appointing a new director to run the operation.



Lindsey Allardyce, who has been with Thomas Cook since joining as a graduate trainee in 1991, will lead a team of 12 in the newly created role of marketing director.



Her strategy in her new position will include studying the images of all the brands in the group – Sunworld, Sunworld Sailing, Neilson, Sunset, Club 18-30 and Flying Colours airline – to establish how consumers react to them and how much they recognise them. Allardyce said that depending on the outcome of the brand review, which will take three months, some rationalisation and consolidatation of the brands may follow.
