MEMBERS of the travel industry will be able to access information on their rivals via the Internet much more quickly, following the acquisition of Companies House records by on-line business information provider ICC.
The firm has bought a duplicate microfiche library from Companies House in London and will now be able to access information about any firm on demand.
Up until now, if anyone wanted information about a company that had not been accessed previously by another user, there would be a delay while someone was sent to Companies House to get hold of the microfiche, scan in the details and put them on-line.
Now ICC has bought the duplicate microfiche, it claims it will be able to respond to a request in about 10 minutes. Scan-on-demand will be on-line from September 13 but the current Internet site can be accessed at:
