Open letter to Dan Brewin, British Airways
I AM truly appaled by the content of your letter to agents.
The very excuses you use as justification (again) to lower our income are the very reasons why you should be reinstating our commission rate to 9%. Yes, times might be hard – but is that our fault? I think not!
Instead of crying into your soup, you should be seeking positive ways of improving your lot. Not agent-bashing. What harm have we ever done BA – I cannot think of anything that would justify such treatment to a loyal partner.
If a downward spiral is your aim, then you are on the right path to achieve this. No amount of negatives will add up to a positive. The two in succession you have dealt us are not encouraging. The marketing guru promoting this course to BA management must be shown the door. It did not work – it will not work!
