Inter-Continental Hotels and Resorts has appointed Annette Wendland as director of sales for its flagship property, the Hotel Inter-Continental London. She previously worked as director of sales Europe for Shangri-La Hotels in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Christine Engel joins the May Fair Inter-Continental as general manager. She previously held the same post at the Forum Hotel London.
Oriel Leisure Ltd has appointed David Redfearn as UK sites acquisitions manager, responsible for locating and purchasing prime UKsites for the development of Holiday Inn Express hotels. He formerly worked as sites acquisition manager for Bass Leisure Retail, which owns the Holiday Inn Express brand.
Kate Wooldridge has been appointed sales manager for Stena Line, responsible for the Anglia region. She formerly worked as field sales executive for Times Newspapers, including the travel sections. In her new role, she will look after retail and business travel accounts, coach and group traffic business.
Susan Batchelor has been appointed market development manager at Southampton Airport. Her previous role was as customer services supervisor for the airport.
