British Incoming Tour Operators’ Association chairman AidanFord predicted consolidation and mergers in the inbound market.
His comments follow huge consolidation in the outbound market over the previous 12 months, which has led to four major players controlling up to 70% of the market.
In his speech, Ford said:”It is almost certainly true that, during the next few years, there will be consolidations and mergers among members. This will mean that there will be fewer tour operators.”
