AIRTOURS is set to ditch all its overseas ground handlers following a decision to bring the entire operation in house.
The operator said the move will improve the quality of service and lead to cost savings.
Overseas purchasing director Amanda Wills said:”It is a further way of consolidating our business.”
The new set-up is already operating in Florida and will start in Las Vegas in April. Airtours will take over ground handling in the Balearics and mainland Spain in the summer.
