n hertz ousts avis as bah car-rental supplier
Hertz has replaced Avis as the car-rental supplier for British Airways Holidaycustomers flying into South Africa. The new business boosts an existing contract between Hertz and BAH to supply cars to visitorsarriving in the UK, Europe and Australia. The contract will run from April 1999 to March 2000.

n Scansea launches copenhagen breaks
Scandinavian Seaways is offering a five-night break to Copenhagen at the Imperial Hotel on January 16 from ú284 per person or afour-night break at the city’s Savoy Hotel on January 19 from ú189 per person. The ferry operator is also offering a ú228 per person five-night deal to Hamburg at the Reichshof Hotel on January 22. The price, based on two travelling together, includes return overnight crossings on the company’s Travelliner in a cabin with private facilities and hotel accommodation.

P&O North Sea Ferries has launched its 52-page 1999 brochure featuring theHull-Rotterdam andHull-Zeebrugge routes. The brochure also includes a series of short breaks and motoring holidays operated by Travelscene which markets a specialist inclusive holidays programme on behalf of P&O North Sea Ferries.
